The Raising of Lazarus

Dear friends, if our churches were open this weekend, many of us would hear the Gospel about the raising of Lazarus. It is one I’ve reflected on often, and I’d like to share one of my meditations on it with you.

Just click below and let the Holy Spirit guide you. Share it with as many people as you think need it, and if you can’t get it to work, shoot me an email and I’ll send it to you directly

PS: If you see this on Facebook, it crossed over automatically. I gave up social media for Lent so I won’t see your comments there – leave them here instead so I am sure to get them!

  1. Thank you for my third Scrutiny lesson. Mary had started the lesson with me earlier this week, but….I’m a little slow! 🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🙏🏽

    1. This is one of my favorite Scripture stories! I imagine Jesus bringing me back to life in so many ways: “back to life” after Neil’s death, after stressful days at work, after sickness, after my nest got empty and now as its full again…..I love the sense that God can pull me out of any dark days.

  2. I’ve immersed myself several times into this beautiful meditation and have aroused with feelings of gratitude for Jesus invitation to a new life with him. Personally, I am grateful for quarantine as it has allowed uninterrupted time to meditate and st udy God‘s word as well as to complete long buried projects without interruption of a timely, earthly schedule. Lazarus awakens from the tomb to see smiles and tears of joy and to walk into Jesus arms. Perhaps our release from this Quarantine may result in an awakening of our souls and give us a new Life of sensitivity to others and appreciation of our endless gifts from God.

    1. I am so glad this meditation has inspired you. Even though this pandemic has been dangerous and scary, it has reminded me of the all the blessings I have – and too often take for granted.

      1. I don’t envision you taking anything for granted. Please continue writing and sharing your experiences and lessons. 🌺
